Enforcement and Income Tax officials headed by Rakesh Sharma jointly conducted raids at Chakra Chain Jewellery, Trichy’s Periyada Road area, Ruby Jewelery (Owner Ruby Shankar), Surya Jewelery (Owner Sukumar) and another of his shops, Vignesh Jewellery, Jabarsha Street area. .
It is reported that the search is being conducted on the basis of complaints of buying jewelery smuggled by air from various foreign countries including Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai and selling it illegally, illegal cash transactions in jewelery shops, selling jewelery without showing GST accounts.
The information of the enforcement department has come out that these four most important shops were involved in smuggling gold and illegal money exchange. Most importantly, the investigation revealed that they brought foreign and smuggled gold to four famous jewelers in Trichy and sold it.
Yesterday (20.11.2023) in the afternoon, customers came and left the above shops and from midnight they have been continuously checking the above shops and the people connected with them for 20 hours.
