There was a clash between Nihang Singhs at 8.30 am on Tuesday morning over the possession of Gurdwara Akal Bunga (Memorable Baba Nawab Kapoor Singh Ji Cantonment Nihang Singh Takht Budha Dal) located near the historical Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib in Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab. In this, two Nihang Singhs present in the Gurudwara premises were injured. He was admitted to Civil Hospital, Sultanpur Lodhi. As soon as information about the incident was received, Sultanpur Lodhi SDM Jaspreet Singh, SP (H) Tejveer Singh Hundal, DSP Babandeep Singh and 200 policemen reached the spot and converted the entire area into a cantonment. Till the time of writing the news, the police was deployed in the Gurudwara premises.

According to the information, Baba Balveer Singh, the head of Budha Dal, is currently the 96th crore person in Gurudwara Akal Bunga Sahib. He has entrusted the responsibility of Chief Sevadar of Gurdwara Sahib to Baba Nirvair Singh Dhillon. Injured Nirvair Singh and Jagjit Singh of Baba Balbir Singh group admitted in Civil Hospital told that they were present in Gurudwara Sahib in the morning. Meanwhile, at 8.30 pm, Man Singh, chief of Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal Chalda Waheer Chakraborty Punjab along with about 15-20 of his associates came and started beating them, taking them hostage. He has demanded action from the district and police administration. SDM Jaspreet Singh said that the police and civil administration are talking to the Nihang Singhs in Gurdwara Sahib. It is being told that Baba Balbir Singh Budha Dal is also present in the PUDA of Sultanpur Lodhi along with his 20-25 comrades. Where the police have stopped them, so that the atmosphere does not deteriorate. Maan Singh, who was present at Gurudwara Akal Bunga along with 100 of his friends, said that he will celebrate Gurpurab in Sultanpur Lodhi and he congratulated the Sikh Sangat of the country and abroad on the occasion of Gurpurab.
