Subhani has spent $40,000 on this matter.
The State Department told him that he had got citizenship by mistake.
Subhani is a doctor whose birth and family history is from America.
New Delhi. No matter where you were born, grew up, studied and spent half your life, you should know how you would feel if you are not a citizen of that place. Exactly the same thing happened with an American doctor. 62-year-old Siavash Sobhani was born in the US. He took all his education there and after becoming a doctor, he has been practicing there for the last 30 years. But he got a shock when he applied to renew his passport. Not only was his passport not renewed, on the contrary his citizenship was revoked.
Now there is a reason behind why this happened which very few people would be able to think of, that too when they have complete knowledge of the American Citizenship Law. In fact, when Sobhani applied for passport renewal, he was told that he was given citizenship by mistake but now he is not a citizen of America. But how can that be? Obviously this question will arise.

How did such a big mistake happen?
It is not that Subhani has renewed her passport for the first time. He has done this many times before. Therefore this matter becomes more surprising. So how did this happen? According to a letter received from the State Department, Subhani was mistakenly granted citizenship as an infant but was not supposed to get this citizenship because his father was the ambassador of the Iranian Embassy at the time. According to the rules, in the US, if a person with diplomatic immunity has a child, he cannot be given citizenship on the basis of birth.

What did Subhani say?
Subhani says, “It was shocking for me, I am a doctor, I have spent my whole life here. I have paid my taxes. I have voted in the presidential election. I have served my community in Northern Virginia. During Covid, I did my duty by putting myself and my wife in danger. So when you find out at the age of 61 that you are not a citizen, it is very shocking.” Subhani says that he has spent 40 thousand dollars to fix it but he is not yet sure about his future.
