Jagran correspondent, Noida. A young man and a girl riding a bike without wearing a helmet died in a collision with an unknown vehicle near Parthala flyover in Kotwali Phase-3 area. After the collision, the driver fled with the vehicle. The police conducted post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the relatives. The young man and the girl worked as executives in a BPO company.

Ashish Sisodia of Delhi Tourism Vihar and Dhairya Lakshmi Joshi of Bareilly worked as executives in a BPO company named IEnergizer. Inspector Vijay Kumar, in-charge of Kotwali Phase-3, said that both of them were going to Gaur City on a bike at 4 am on Saturday. Dhairya Lakshmi Joshi currently lived in Gaur City. When both of them reached Hindon, 500 meters ahead of Parthala flyover, the driver of an unknown vehicle hit their bike.

Ashish and Dhairya Lakshmi were seriously injured in this accident. According to the police, both of them were not wearing helmets. Due to which both of them suffered serious head injuries and due to excessive bleeding, both of them became unconscious. After the collision, the driver ran away with the vehicle. When the passers-by saw both of them in a bloody condition, they informed the police. The police took both of them to the hospital, where doctors declared both of them dead.

No complaint from relatives

After identifying both of them, the police informed their relatives. Also the bodies were sent for post-mortem. According to the police, the age of the young man was 30 years, while the age of the girl was around 25 years. Both were unmarried. According to the Kotwali in-charge, till the time of writing the news, no complaint has been received from any relative.

Had there been a helmet, he probably would not have died.

Often after accidents, one would hear it being said that life and death are not in the hands of a human being, but carelessness on one’s part has also proved to be responsible for death to a great extent. Helmet was not worn while riding a two-wheeler. As a result, head injuries after accidents became the cause of death. In such a situation, it cannot be completely denied that if these people had worn helmets, perhaps their lives could have been saved.

Police examining CCTV footage

Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site to identify the accused driver and vehicle. Many important information has come into the hands of the police. According to the local people, the collision was so strong that both of them jumped from the bike and fell face down. Both of them started bleeding due to serious head injuries. The bike was badly damaged in this accident. During this period, instead of helping the injured, some people also kept making videos of them.
