Chief Minister M.K.Stalin will inaugurate the memorial of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi, which has been designed in a biographical manner with modern features, on Monday (February 26). Similarly, he will inaugurate the renovated former Chief Minister Anna’s memorial. What are the features?: Karunanidhi’s memorial has been erected on the Chennai beach, past the Anna Memorial. There is a sitting statue of Karunanidhi in the form of writing. Passing the statue, Karunanidhi Square has been created opposite. In front of it, a letter written by the then Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to Karunanidhi praising the Central government’s decision to accept ‘classical Tamil’ is arranged in English and Tamil. Below this square, a museum has been set up under the name of ‘Artist’s World’ in the dungeon area. On the left side of this, on the right side of the footpath, the idol of Thiruvallu and the alternation of huts are arranged as pictures and are shining with lights. If you turn right inside, there is a Tamil Thai greeting written on the left wall. Next to this, a room called ‘Artist’s Memories’ has been set up, in which a collection of photographs related to the important events in Karunanidhi’s life since his youth, the struggles he faced and the various projects he completed is kept. Similarly, if you enter the room titled ‘Rights Fighter Artist’, you will be greeted by the front view of the Chief Secretariat with a display of Karunanidhi’s first address at the Chennai Fort by hoisting the national flag. Take Photos: People can take photos by following the collection of photos. The image of Karunanidhi sitting in Gopalapuram house in Chennai is realistically drawn. You can stop by it and take a photo. A facility is also provided to get the photo in hand within a few minutes. There is a wax statue of Karunanidhi smiling on the other side. Video Explanation: Explanations of Karunanidhi’s various works like ‘Nenjuku Neethi’ are video recordings. If you put your hand on the corresponding screen, you can get a video explanation of the book. Similarly, if you enter a room with the title of a historical hero’s journey, you will feel like traveling by train from Thiruvarur to Chennai. While we are sitting in it, we can reach Chennai by crossing Tanjore, Trichy, Madurai, Nellai and Salem railway stations. Events related to Karunanidhi’s life will be shown in the respective cities. On the way, an elephant stops and greets us by interrupting the train we are traveling on, which is a truly thrilling experience. Rare photographs are beautifully arranged on either side of the corridor that runs through these rooms. 5 TV screens are placed in that area. Among them, the programs of the opening ceremony of various projects started during the Karunanidhi regime are telecasted. Finally, the sight of Karunanidhi floating while seated using magnetic force is mesmerizing. If you look at these and come out, Karunanidhi Bookstore has been set up. All his books are on sale there. Inauguration today: Chief Minister M.K.Stalin will inaugurate the memorial where all the ancient memories and traces of Karunanidhi’s life have been vividly laid out with modern technology at 7 pm on Monday.
