Anekal: A B.Tech student, who was wanted as a mysterious person, was recovered with charred body. It has come to light that he was burnt to death.

Harshit Kotnala, 21, from Uttarakhand, was studying B.Tech at Alliance University, Bangalore Rural Anekal. He stayed in the college hostel.

He left the hostel on the morning of 21st and did not return since then. His mobile phone was also ‘switched off’.

The university administration lodged a complaint with the Anekal police. Harshit’s parents were also informed. The police searched for the missing Harshit.

In this case, yesterday morning, a youth was found dead in the Nilgiri grove in Telakarahalli village near Anekal.

Anekal police went there. A bag was found near the body of the dead boy. When the bag was checked, Harshit had an identity card issued by the college.

As a result, it was found that the deceased was Harshit and his body was poured petrol and set on fire by the mysterious persons. It is not known who killed him and for what reason. Investigation is going on.
