According to a statement issued by the Reserve Bank of India, today (April 23, 2024) all banks will operate as usual on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. So it is better to finish your bank work if any by this Saturday.

Because all private and public sector banks are closed on fourth Saturday as per bank holiday list. So before that it is better to finish the bank work if any.

But in the coming weeks, April 27 and 28 have been declared as holidays for all banks. So it is better to complete your banking work according to those holidays.

26th April will be a holiday for banks in some states as Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in those states. But online banking services and ATM withdrawals are hassle-free.

Here are the bank holidays for the month of May!

1 May: Maharashtra Day/May Day (Labor Day) (certain cities as per RBI guidelines)

May 5: All banks are closed as it is a Sunday.

May 8: Rabindranath Tagore’s birthday (Rabindra Jayanti), in Kolkata

May 10: Basava Jayanti/Akshay Tritiya (States where the festival is celebrated)

May 11: Second Saturday

May 12: Being a Sunday, all banks are closed.

May 16: All banks in Gangtok remain closed due to Government Day holiday.

May 19: Being a Sunday, all banks are closed.

May 20: Lok Sabha General Election 2024 (depending on the state)

May 23: Buddha Poornima (in some cities as per RBI guidelines)
