She criticized that the accused in Viveka’s murder case were not only being ticketed again but were being protected. Saubhagyamma wrote an open letter directly to CM Jagan regarding the treatment of the accused in the Viveka murder case.

Saubhagyamma said that it is heartbreaking that the YCP party and its own media are committing personality attacks on your son Vivekananda Reddy, who longed to see you as the chief minister. He said that as much as you suffered when you lost your father YS Rajasekhar Reddy in 2009, since 2019 your younger sister Sunita is also suffering more than that. They said that the members of your own party are making fun of your sisters and blaming them, but you are not moving at all. Sunita, who stood on the road for justice, and your younger sister Sharmi, who stood by her, are being blamed by their own party, but none of this is happening to you, they said. Saubhagyamma stated in the letter that she wants to stand for justice, righteousness and truth as the chief minister of a state.
