Amravati: Only two Ganesha idols of right trunk in Maharashtra. Among them, the Siddhivinayak idol of Mumbai was established, while the Siddhivinayak Ganesha idol of Vaigaon was found during the excavation of the foundation of the palace. An idol was installed in this palace of Ingole and his temple was made. Devotees are thronging here on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. Legend has it that the exiled Pandavas visited here.
One mile after Valgaon on Amravati-Paratwada road, Vaigaon is a village of Ingoles. Around 1865, while digging the foundation for the construction of the palace of Ingole, a traditional Vatandar, a beautiful Ganesha idol was found. This right trunk Ganesha came to fame as the one who takes vows in Panchkroshi. Kalas was founded in 2012 by Ramachandra Baba Bode of Alandi.
Immersion with traditional Dindi
In this village of three and a half thousand people, the Ganesh Visarjan procession is taken out on the full moon with a traditional Varkari Dindi. The dindi is beautiful with the addition of palanquins and horses. On this occasion, citizens, especially daughter-in-laws, attend without fail, Vilasrao Ingole, president of the Institute, told Lokmat.
40 kg silver canopy The right trunk seated Siddhivinayak idol has a 40 kg silver canopy. The idol is single-toothed, padma on the foot, conch marked. There are riddhis and siddhis all around.
The palace was built in such a way that the first ray of sunlight falls directly on the idol of Siddhivinayak. While renovating the temple, the construction has been done keeping this matter in mind.
