Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Kochi today for a two-day visit. The Prime Minister, who will land at Nedumbassery at 4 pm, will address the workers in a public meeting at the airport premises. The Prime Minister will participate in many events including the BJP core committee meeting today and the commission of ANS Vikrant tomorrow.
After reaching Nedumbassery, the Prime Minister will reach the Adi Shankara Janmabhoomi temple at Kaladi after addressing the workers in a public meeting at the airport premises at around 4:30 pm. After inaugurating the state’s railway development projects in Sial and the opening of the Kochi Metro’s Petta SN junction path, the Prime Minister will arrive at the Kochi Taj Malabar for the BJP core committee meeting.
Tomorrow (Friday) at 9.30 am the Prime Minister will commission the first indigenous aircraft carrier ANS Vikrant at Cochin Shipyard. After unveiling the new naval flag, the Prime Minister will leave for Mangalore. In view of the Prime Minister’s visit, traffic control and parking restrictions have been imposed in Ernakulam city and parts of West Kochi from 2 pm today to 1 pm tomorrow. Traffic will not be allowed on the road in front of the Nedumbassery airport from 3.30 pm to 8 pm today. The control is from Athani Airport Junction to Kaladi Matur Junction.
