UPPCL will now do the work of making a substation to separate the electricity system in the super specialty PGI of Hallett Hospital, not KESCO. UPPCL has been awarded contract for this work for less than 13.62 crores. Kesco had demanded Rs 13.62 crore for this work, but UPPCL offered to get it built for less than Kesco and the tender was approved.
This work has been postponed for many months.
It has been more than nine months since the super specialty PGI of Hallet Hospital was completed but till now the dedicated line could not be installed for this block. Many times, Principal Dr. Sanjay Kala wrote letters to Kesco for this, but Kesco did not reply to a single letter. After allotment of space for the dedicated line and sub-station, the officials of KESCO inspected the site only once and after that it took eight to ten months to lay the manga line.
UPPCL will prepare the sub-station in five months
According to the information received from Prof. Sanjay Kala, UPPCL has given in writing that within the coming five months, they will complete the work of laying the sub-station and dedicated line. Along with this, whatever other electrical work is left, that will also be completed.
Till now the hospital is running with the supply of Kesco
OPD started from 15th July in PGI and the electricity of the entire hospital is running from the same line drawn from Halt Hospital.
