Chennai: CM Pinarayi Vijayan has taken the same decision as CM Stalin in Tamil Nadu.
In non-BJP-ruled states, there is a fierce conflict between the Chief Minister and the Governor. In states like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and West Bengal, there is a fierce conflict between the Governor and the Chief Minister.
In Tamil Nadu too, the conflict between Governor Ravi and Tamil Nadu DMK government is starting to rise again. The Governor’s recent speeches, some of his comments against the history of Tamil Nadu have seriously upset the DMK.
A few days ago, the Tamil Nadu government held a Vice-Chancellors Conference in direct opposition to Governor Ravi. Governor Ravi conducted a 2-day conference of Vice Chancellors in Ooty last May. The Tamil Nadu government does not want this private conference of the Governor.
A corruption complaint against me? Delhi governor who spins the whip.. Aam Aadmi leaders in trouble
Subsequently, a bill declaring the Chief Minister as the Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Universities was passed in the Assembly. That is, the bill was passed to remove the governor from this position and make the chief minister. But Governor Ravi has not yet sent this bill to Delhi. In response to the Governor, the Vice-Chancellors’ Conference was held today under the leadership of Chief Minister Stalin through the Tamil Nadu government.
It is in this situation that the same law has been passed in Kerala. This law has been passed by the CPM coalition government in the state. With this, the Kerala state government can no longer appoint a vice-chancellor without the permission of the governor. Likewise, the Chief Minister will act as the Chancellor of the University there. There is a serious conflict between the Governor of Kerala and the state government. Here the Governor of Tamilnadu Ravi is giving various views about the history of Tamilnadu.
In the same way, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has also been expressing strong opinions about the state’s history. It is noteworthy that he severely criticized the old communist leaders. It is in this situation that the state government has passed a law against the governor following the Tamil Nadu government. The bill should now be sent by the governor to Delhi.
It should be noted that the Congress supported DMK’s bill in Tamil Nadu. But the Congress in Kerala is strongly opposed to this bill. It is noteworthy that the Congress staged a walkout there against the bill. Prime Minister Modi is going to Kerala this evening. He is going to Kochi. It is considered important that the Kerala government has passed this bill on exactly the same day.
