CHENNAI: SRMC police have arrested a fake IAS officer from Salem who allegedly cheated a famous hospital doctor in Borur of Rs. Dr. Selvakumar (62), who works at a famous hospital in Borur, filed a complaint at the Avadi Police Commissioner’s office in Chennai last week.

Regarding the complaint, the police said: Selvakumar retired as a professor in a famous private medical college in Borur. Even after retirement, he is still working in the same medical college hospital. Sasikumar from Salem was introduced to Dr. Selvakumar through friends. Sasikumar told Dr. Selvakumar that he was working as an IAS officer then and that he knew many high officials in Delhi.

Apart from that you can contest for membership in the All India Medical Council for your skills, Aasi Ward said. Then he knew many of the higher officials of the All India Medical Council very well. He assured me that I will buy you membership. Dr. Selvakumar believed that being an IAS officer would definitely get him the membership of the All India Medical Council. He also showed the documents and identity cards of his being an IAS officer to the doctor in a convincing manner.

Based on that, Dr. Selvakumar gave Rs. 70 lakhs to Sasikkumar to get membership. After receiving the money, Sasikumar cheated Dr. Selvakumar by telling many lies without buying the membership. At one point, Dr. Selvakumar told his fellow doctors about the incident. Then this membership will not be available on the recommendation of anyone. All the membership posts in the All India Medical Council are under the control of the Union Government. It has been said that these posts are available only after achieving many achievements in the medical field.

Only after that it was revealed that Dr. Selvakumar had defrauded him of Rs.70 lakhs. Dr. Selvakumar asked Sasikumar, who claimed to be an IAS officer, about this. But he managed by saying, I will buy you the post. At one point he blocked Dr. Selvakumar’s cell phone. The police said that Dr. Selvakumar, who became suspicious of this, has filed a complaint against IAS officer Sasikumar regarding the fraud of Rs.

According to the complaint, on the orders of Aavadi Police Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore, a special team was formed and an investigation was conducted under the leadership of SRMC Assistant Commissioner. In it, it was revealed that Sasikumar from Salem along with his friends had defrauded Dr. Selvakumar of Rs. Immediately, the special police investigated Sasikumar, who claimed to be an IAS officer and received Rs 70 lakh. At that time, I was an IAS officer working as a senior official in the Union Government office in Delhi.

He has threatened me saying that you can’t investigate me, if you have to do it, you can do it only after getting permission from the Chairman of the Central Government Staff Selection Commission. This made the police suspicious. Immediately after getting an IAS officer identity card from Sasikumar, it was found that no one was working as an IAS officer in the Delhi office in the name of Sasikumar.

Immediately, when the police interrogated Sasikumar in their own style, it was revealed that Sasikumar hails from Salem and was dismissed and arrested based on a complaint related to fraud when he was working as a policeman, and 9 similar cases were pending against him. Subsequently, the police registered a case and arrested the fake IAS officer Sasikumar. Fake IAS identity card, cars and fraud related documents were seized from him.

Nataraj was arrested in connection with this case. He was working in Thenikarai Police Station in Ramnath area and was dismissed in 2010 due to fraud. Also, the police are looking for some people. A famous hospital doctor extorted Rs 70 lakh from a fake IAS officer for membership in All India Medical Counseling has created a stir in Chennai.
