Moscow : There is news of the death of the chairman of Russia’s largest private oil company under suspicious circumstances. According to Russian media reports, the board chairman of Russia’s largest private oil company LUKoil died on Thursday after falling from the window of a Moscow hospital. The big thing is that in the last one month, another senior officer of the company has died under suspicious circumstances. This company had opposed Russia’s attack on Ukraine in March itself.
RBC News website quoted police sources as saying that 67-year-old Ravil Maganov fell from the window of the sixth floor of the Central Clinical Hospital. The hospital is known as the Kremlin Clinic for the treatment of patients from Russia’s political and business elite.
Maganov is the second top Lukoil executive to die under mysterious circumstances in recent months. A criminal case was registered by Russian police following the death of former LUKoil executive Alexander Subbotin in early May.
Russia’s second largest oil company, LUKoil, was one of the few companies that in early March had openly voiced an end to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In a letter to shareholders at the time, Lukoil said, “We stand for the immediate end of the armed conflict and duly support its resolution through the dialogue process and diplomatic channels.”
