On Thursday, the police of Kiul Rail Station have detained a Munger businessman with 20 kg silver and 350 grams of gold from platform number three of Kiul railway station. The businessman has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Mohan Poddar of Bekapur Jubilee Well of Kotwali police station located at Munger district headquarters. 20 silver bricks and various gold ornaments were recovered from him. On weighing, silver was 20 kg and gold was 350 grams, whose value is being told about Rs 28 lakh.
Kiul Rail Station Officer Kameshwar Chaudhary said that on Thursday, in search of liquor, the bags and bags of passengers were being searched on platform number three. Meanwhile, 20 silver bricks and various types of gold jewelery were recovered from Sanjay Kumar’s bag. Each silver brick weighs one kilogram. Sanjay Kumar is describing himself as a businessman.
He told that after buying silver bricks and gold jewelery from Jalan Private Limited from Kolkata, he reached Kiul railway station by Howrah-Rajendranagar Express train from there. They were now sitting at the station waiting for the train going towards Jamalpur. He has a receipt related to the purchase of gold and silver. On the other hand, Kiul Rail Station Officer Kameshwar Chaudhary said that the information has been given to the Income Tax Department. Only the officials of the Income Tax Department will declare the recovered gold and silver as valid or illegal. Only the officers of Income Tax Department will take further action in this regard.
Halsi police station seized six vehicles carrying illegal sand

Halsi police station president Rajendra Sah has given this information. He said that on Wednesday night, information was received that after lifting sand from the restricted Kiul river, many vehicles were going to be sold through Halsi police station area. Under the information, two Tata-407 carrying illegal sand from near Dira village on Mohaddinagar-Sethna road of police station area and four tractors near Sethna Mod were confiscated. He said that a report has been sent to the Mining and Transport Department for action against the seized six vehicles carrying illegal sand.
