Vanaparthi September 1 (Janmanakshi) The untimely death of Nagamma, who was working as a sanitation worker at the Government General Hospital, Vanaparthi, has been deeply compounded and her services to the hospital cannot be forgotten, said Dr. Narender Kumar, superintendent of the hospital. Under the aegis of Telangana Medical Contract Workers Union (AITUC), a condolence meeting was held in memory of hospital worker V. Nagamma who died untimely on Tuesday in Vanaparthi Government Hospital premises after the Sanitation Patient Care Security Supervisor workers paid floral tributes to Nagamma’s picture. On this occasion, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Narendra Kumar said. Nagamma, a senior sanitation worker at Vanaparthi Government Hospital, has rendered invaluable services to the hospital, he said. He said that Nagamma has been given many awards for her services as she is friendly with everyone and treats her duties with sincerity. Nagamma’s only son Bhaskar died of a serious illness 15 days ago and Nagamma’s husband Raghavulu also died two days ago before he recovered. He said that none of the hospital staff could digest Nagamma’s death. They assured that they will stand by Nagamma’s family. Telangana Medical Contract Workers Union Joint District President P. Suresh said that the death of Comrade Nagamma is not only for her family but also for the struggles of the working class. He said that Nagamma, living in poverty, is not good at spreading love and affection. Nagamma Bhaskar also reminded that both of them worked as sanitation workers in Vanaparthi Government Hospital. Government appealed to Nagamma’s family to provide ten lakh ex gratia, a double bedroom house and a job for one of the family. In this program, hospital RMO Sivaprasad, workers Narasimha, Balaraj, Bharat, Srinivas, Kumar Babu, Anil,Mujahid, Kalavathamma, Nani, Anita, Kavita, ChennamM, Sangeetha and others participated.
