According to the police, the handicapped youth was murdered when he saw the domestic helper stealing items and raised an alarm. At that time his parents had gone to a temple.
Officials said the juvenile, who was assigned to look after the youth, told the police that he felt humiliated about his work and wanted to quit.
He said that he planned to rob the house to raise money before leaving.
Police said Kishor was inspired by the Hindi film “Tu Chor Main Sipahi” and had also left a black glove on the spot, as depicted in the film.
According to the police, the incident took place on Wednesday in the Safdarjung Development Area.
A senior police officer said that the police got information about the incident at around 5:05 pm. On reaching the spot-e-incident, the young man was found lying unconscious on the bed. During interrogation, the victim’s sister told that her parents and grandmother had gone to the temple at around 2.30 pm.
Manoj C, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) said that after an hour the sister of the disabled youth left him with her domestic help and went to the market in Green Park. He hired this domestic helper three months back.
He told that when his sister came back, she found her brother lying unconscious and his domestic help was missing.
When he searched the house, he found some jewellery, a mobile phone and cash worth around Rs 40,000 missing, police said. A case has been registered in this regard at Safdarjung Enclave police station.
According to the police, during the investigation, some relatives of the accused were traced who told that he may go to his village in Sitamarhi, Bihar, where his mother lives. After this, the police caught the teenager at the New Delhi railway station. The stolen goods have been recovered from him.
