A 70-year-old man was seriously injured when an e-rickshaw BR 0258 hit near East Giddha village on Lakhisarai-Sikandra main road under Halsi police station area late on Friday evening, who died on the way to Patna for treatment. The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Lattan Thakur, a resident of Giddha village. Local people told that Lattan Thakur was coming home after closing his salon in prison. Meanwhile, an e-rickshaw driver going from Sikandra to Lakhisarai lost his control and pushed Lattan Thakur from behind. Due to which he was seriously injured. In this world the e-rickshaw driver absconded. The villagers have taken possession of the e-rickshaw. After that, with the help of local people, he was taken to CHC Halsi for treatment. Where the doctors referred the Sadar Hospital Lakhisarai for better treatment. Seeing the serious condition here, the doctors referred the injured to PMCH Patna. The injured died on the way while going to Patna. On hearing the news of his death, his family is in a bad condition by crying. Local people told that Lattan Thakur was also disabled with one leg and used to walk with the help of sticks. The deceased Lakhan Thakur was working in Maa Vaishnavi Salon for the last 20 years.
