The American Diabetes Association emphasizes that as far as possible avoid trans fats and consume more monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats than saturated fats.

Here are 5 cooking oils that can be used by diabetics
Virgin olive oil is eaten raw with salads and rice mixes. While it is not heated, pomace olive oil can be used as a cooking medium. It contains an antioxidant called tyrosol. It works as a therapeutic agent. It helps in improving insulin resistance. In addition, this oil has anti-inflammatory properties. Due to its light consistency, it also reduces the risk of obesity.
