Kanpur: A cow protector was brutally murdered in Kanpur countryside of Uttar Pradesh. After the murder, the accused hanged his body from a peg. The deceased Rajesh Dwivedi was originally a resident of Jyotish village of Akbarpur. The relatives told that he used to sleep in the temple outside the house. Even on Saturday night, he had gone to the temple premises after having dinner and lay down. After which he was murdered. The family members found his body hanging from a peg late in the night. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and got the post-mortem done in the night itself. When the body of the deceased reached the village on Sunday morning, the relatives refused to perform his last rites. The family members say that they will not cremate the body until the accused are arrested.
Relatives accuse the police
After the death of Rajesh Dwivedi, his wife Lali and both children Ankit and Pragati are in a bad condition. On receiving information about the incident, CO Sadar Prabhat Kumar, Akbarpur Kotwal Pramod Shukla reached the spot. The family members told that the temple is 500 meters away from the house. Where Rajesh was murdered. Accusing the police, the son of the deceased, Ankit, said that in the past, his father had lodged a complaint against some people of the village in the police station for seriously injuring the cow by attacking it with a sharp tool. After which Rajesh was constantly receiving death threats. On receiving the threats, the deceased Rajesh informed the police in this regard. But the police did not take the matter seriously. Because of which he was murdered.
Was constantly getting threats of murder
The relatives of the deceased also showed the tahrir given by Rajesh to the police station 21 days ago. Rajesh had lodged a complaint against 7 named and some unknown people for killing two dozen cows and injuring them with sharp tools. On which the police did not take any action. The relatives of Rajesh started creating a ruckus by keeping his dead body outside and shouting slogans against the police administration, arresting the accused and demanding action. The CO and SDM present at the spot pacified the rioting family members by persuading them. But the relatives have refused to accept the body. The family demands that along with the arrest of the accused, action should be taken against the policemen who were negligent in the matter.
The family created a ruckus
The family members say that the body will be cremated only after their demand is met. According to CO Prabhat Kumar, the relatives of the deceased are alleging murder against 10 to 15 unknown people besides Radheshyam, Uday Narayan, Dharmendra, Shivkumar and Omprakash Kushwaha of the village itself. A case has been registered on the basis of the tahrir of the family members. Efforts are on to arrest the accused while proceeding on the matter. Apart from this, all the allegations that the relatives of the deceased are making against the police will also be investigated. Strict action will be taken against any policeman found guilty in this case.
