New Delhi, Online Desk. Asia cup 2022: Virat Kohli’s performance in the Asia Cup 2022 has been good in the last two matches. He scored 35 runs in the first group match against Pakistan while in the second group match he scored an unbeaten 59 against Hong Kong. Although Kohli played the innings well, but his strike rate was not very good. Well, the good thing for Team India is that runs came out of their bat. Now former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has said a big thing about Kohli’s batting.
Kohli should leave T20 format
Shoaib Akhtar believes that if Virat Kohli wants to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries in international cricket, then he will have to give up one format of the game i.e. T20 cricket. He said on his YouTube channel that Virat Kohli is not centering the ball well and his last two innings in the Asia Cup were poor. Though he scored 59 and I wish him all the best. Now my advice to Kohli is to watch the T20 World Cup by 2022 to see if this format suits you or not. If you want to do 30 more hundreds, then it would be better to leave this format.
Virat Kohli had 70 centuries in international cricket till 2019, but since then he has not been able to score a single century for almost three years. Shoaib Akhtar further said that you can be a great player forever, but you have to convince yourself that you are the greatest player ever. If Kohli scores now, the next 30 centuries will be the toughest for him. When he goes into the longest format, he gets time to settle down. Here, he is trying but time is short, you have to maintain a good strike rate and you have to ensure the victory of the team. He is both positive and aggressive. Also a great player but I really want him to score 100 hundreds and break Sachin Tendulkar’s record. It looks impossible right now, but this guy (Kohli) can do it.
