Ranchi: National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) President Priyank Kanungo will visit Dumka on 5 September. In addition to the scheduled visit of the NCPCR team led by Priyank Kanungo to Dumka, the team will meet with the DC, SP, Investigating Officer and the doctors who conducted the post-mortem of the minor to inquire about the incident. Information about the whole matter will also be taken from the family members of the deceased minor girl.

dead body found hanging from tree
After the Ankita murder case, the body of a minor pregnant wooden was found hanging from a tree in the district. This case is of Shriamda village located in Mufassil police station area of the district. On Saturday, a 14-year-old tribal wooden body was found hanging from a tree. Seeing the girl’s body hanging from the tree with the help of a rope, people immediately informed the police about the incident. The police of Diggi outpost reached the spot and started investigation. The police had sent the body to the Phoolo Jhano Medical College Hospital in Dumka for postmortem. After the post-mortem, the girl’s body was handed over to her relatives.

rape and then murder
The deceased is originally from the Ranieshwar police station area of the district. A case has been registered on the statement of family members in Mufassil police station. The family members have complained against the accused of raping the teenager on the pretext of marriage and then killing her. The police have registered an FIR under the murder, rape and POCSO Act. The deceased belonged to the tribal community. Police has registered an FIR against unknown in this case. This is the second case within 10 days in Dumka, when a case has been registered under the POCSO Act for the murder of a minor.
