A Muslim man was allegedly harassed by several unidentified persons and forced to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on the Shaikpet-Alkapur road on Saturday night.

In a video posted on YouTube by Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjad Ullah Khan, the Uber driver, Syed Latifuddin, alleged that he was driving from Shaikpet to Alkapur Road to pick up a customer when some people started killing him. car windows.

“I went straight behind them, but there was a roadblock. The men followed me. Two of them were on a pill, and four were on an Activa. They reached near my car and started throwing stones and demanded me to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’. I pushed one of them and ran for a while. Because I was screaming for help, a small group formed around me, and they came back with me in the car,” the man said in the video.

The MBT leader asked Latif why he didn’t call the police if it actually happened. “I called the police but there was no response. They finally came an hour later,” he said.

In another video, the MBT leader surveys the damage caused to Latifuddin’s car. He also spoke to the person who claimed to have reached the spot during the uproar on Saturday night.

Latifuddin along with Amjad Ullah Khan visited the spot on Sunday afternoon and met the police officials. Khan demanded the police to identify the attackers and initiate action immediately.
