Kanpur, 09 September (H.C.). Liquor salesman killed his wife in Panki police station area. Filling the body in a sack, he fled. The police, who reached the information of the incident on Friday, investigated the spot along with the forensic team. The body was sent for post-mortem and the accused was arrested.

Pawan, resident of Kanshiram Colony of Panki area, was a salesman in the liquor contract. He is survived by wife Siba (40) and two daughters. According to the family, he used to consume more alcohol, due to which he used to quarrel with his wife every day.

Pawan’s elder brother informed the police on Friday morning that the salesman Pawan had murdered his wife two days ago and fled after locking the body in a sack. As soon as the information was received, the Inspector-in-Charge of Panki police station immediately reached the spot and informed the higher officials about the incident.

On receiving the news of the sensational incident, the top police officials reached the spot and also engaged a forensic team to collect scientific evidence from the spot. At the same time, teams were activated in search of the accused. After a while the police arrested the killer. The police questioned the accused in connection with the murder. On the other hand, the family members of the deceased have also reached as soon as the news is received.
