Maruti Suzuki (Maruti Suzuki Celerio) The demand for Celerio has grown tremendously. In August 2022, it revealed that its sales had grown by 1094% on a year-on-year basis. A total of 53 units of the Celerio were sold in August last year, while sales in August 2022 are expected to reach 5,852 units. Now the Nave variant of this car which has become popular with the customers has been launched. As soon as the new variant is launched, the customer demand has increased further. In terms of units sold, it ranks 23rd in the top-25 list in August 2022.
Highest mileage car on CNG
Currently, the company is selling both petrol and CNG models of the Celerio. It is one of the highest mileage cars in the country. According to Maruti Suzuki’s official website, Celerio CNG has a mileage of 35.60 km/kg CNG. This is more mileage than Maruti’s Alto. Mileage of CNG Alto is 31.59 kmpl. Celerio’s mileage is good on petrol too.
Price starts from Rs 5.25 lakh
The company claims that the Celerio can deliver a mileage of 24.97km to 26.68km per liter of petrol. Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG is priced at Rs 6.69 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the starting price of the petrol variant is lower. Its base variant is priced at Rs 5.25 lakh, while the top variant is priced at Rs 7 lakh. The Celerio comes with a 1.0-litre petrol engine with a CNG option.
The petrol version is offered with a 5-speed manual (standard) and a 5-speed AMT, while the CNG variant gets only a 5-speed manual transmission. Talking about the features, it gets all the features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support, semi-digital instrument cluster, engine start/stop button. It also gets passive keyless entry, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and hill-hold assist.
