Hyderabad: Cricket fans have expressed their anger over the delay in issuing tickets for the India-Australia match to be held at the Uppal Stadium on 25th of this month. In protest against the attitude of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), they staged an agitation at the city’s Gymkhana ground. The fans who came from different districts of Telangana for the match tickets have been on fire on the gymkhana ground since Wednesday morning.
They are waiting there as there is still no clarity about the issue of tickets. Many have accused the HCA of promoting black ticket sales. They have been coming to the gymkhana grounds for the last three days for tickets but there has been no response from the HCA. They said that even though the tickets were booked online, they are refunding the money. It is alleged that they are making money by selling tickets in block in Uppal Stadium which has a capacity of 55 thousand. As the fans reached the place in huge numbers, a police presence was arranged. HCA officials have to respond to the concern of cricket fans and the allegations of selling tickets in black.
