IND A vs NZ A: Bowlers shine as Sanju Samson’s India won by seven wickets in first ODI

Sanju Samson got the toss in the first match. He sent the opponents to bat. Sanju’s performance was expected by the bowlers. India bowled out New Zealand for 167 runs in 40.2 overs.

In particular, Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Sen bowled the best.

While Shardul took four wickets, Kuldeep Sen, who is a part of Sanju-led Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, also took three wickets. Kuldeep Yadav gets a wicket. Other bowlers were Umran Malik, Rishi Dhawan and Shahbaz Ahmed. But none of them got a wicket.

It was even doubtful that the New Zealand team would complete 100 runs at one stage. Because by the 19th over, they had collapsed to 74 runs for eight wickets.

It was Michael Rippon’s resistance at number eight that saved the Kiwis from a major embarrassment. He led the team with 61 runs. Another major scorer was John Walker who scored 36 runs.

The Indian A team won the run chase without much challenge. India reached the target for three wickets in 31.5 overs. Rajat Patidhar (45*) and Sanju Samson (29)* completed the Indian victory. Patidhar hit seven fours in 41 balls while Sanju hit three sixes and a boundary in 32 balls.

Sanju and Patidhar added 69 runs to the team score for the unbeaten fourth wicket. This is also the best partnership in the Indian innings. India lost the wickets of Prithi Shah (17), Ruturaj Gaekwad (41) and Rahul Tripathi (31).
