Abaha: The body of Lini Varghese, a native of Aayur, Kollam, who died at Dhahran Junoob Hospital Hostel on August 28, has been sent home. The funeral will be held on Friday, September 23 at Ayur.
Hours before Lini Varghese’s death, when she called from home to inform about the death of her father-in-law who died in the country, the family called her colleagues after she did not pick up the phone.
At the request of Lynne’s husband, Reggie Chacko, the social worker, O. I. C. C Saudi South Region Committee President Ashraf Kutchichel completed the formalities and took charge of sending the dead body back home.
Saudi Health Department Asir Region Nursing Director General Mizfar Mana Alyami and Dhahran Junoob Hospital Nursing Director Asma Umer Al Wadayi were there to help. The Saudi Department of Health bore the full cost of repatriation and embalming.
After the completion of the procedure, Lin’s friends and colleagues Jeeja Thomas, Maryakutty Joseph and Dinzi came from Dhahran Junoob to Abaha to bathe the body and lead other things. Then, under the leadership of Pili Jose, the dead body was sent home after prayers. Colleague Dinsi will accompany the dead body to Puliparayat. After the religious ceremonies on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Sebastian Malankara Catholic Church Cemetery.
OICC Khammis Town Committee President Roy Moothedam along with Ashraf Kutichal, Saudi National Committee Jan. Secretary Binu Joseph, Ansari Rafique, Najran OICC Jan. Secretary Polly Raphael, Razaq Kinassery, Jose Pili and others were also present.
