Fatehpur, Jagran Correspondent. Fatehpur Accident Anuradha, a 14-year-old student, was crushed to death by a speeding truck laden on Friday morning while crossing the Bahua intersection on the Banda-Tanda highway. On receiving the news, the police caught the driver and made him sit in the post. Which caused an uproar.
The angry mob entered the Bahua police post and tore important records. Caught the driver and brought him out of the post and beat him fiercely. The Banda-Tanda highway was blocked. The mob vandalized the truck and pelted stones at the outpost, which shattered the glass in the outpost premises.
In saving the driver, the mob beat up outpost in-charge Avinash Mishra and constable Pradeep Kumar. SDM Awadhesh Nigam and CO Jafarganj Anil Kumar, who arrived after receiving the news, pacified the crowd, then after three hours the highway could be restored.
Anuradha, the daughter of Rajumar Raidas, a resident of Sujanpur village of Lalauli area, studied in class nine in Bahua Inter College. She was going to school on her bicycle at 7.30 in the morning. While crossing the Bahua intersection, a truck coming from the front at a high speed crushed her, due to which the girl died.
Mother Geeta Devi, brother Lalchandra and Chandrapakash were helpless as soon as the news of the accident was received. CO Anil Kumar told that the jam has been cleared from the highway, the driver has been sent to the hospital. On receipt of the complaint, a case will be registered.
…then the angry mob kills the driverAfter the death of the girl, the crowd was so angry that she entered the Bahua outpost and brought out the truck driver Jitendra Kumar living in Rababiya intersection of Kundwar area of Sultanpur district and beat him fiercely due to which he became unconscious. Who has been referred from the district hospital to Lala Lajpat Rai, Hospital Kanpur.
SWAT team reached on the fear of increasing ruckusOn the ruckus by the angry villagers, SDM and CO along with SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) first Vinod Mishra and SWAT second in-charge Vindhyavasini Tiwari along with Ghazipur police station in-charge Anand Pal Singh and Lalauli SO Alok Pandey reached with the police force. The police team along with the administrative officers was busy in convincing the angry mob.
