Mumbai, Just as Ekadashi is important for the worship of Lord Vishnu. Similarly, Pradosh is important for the worship of Lord Shankara. As the Pradosh Vrat in the month of Bhadrapada falls on a Friday, this Shukra Pradosh Vrat (Shukra Pradosh Vrat 2022) is Observing Shukra Pradosh Vrat is believed to increase happiness and prosperity. By observing this Vrata and worshiping Lord Shiva one gets wealth, wealth, glory and all kinds of material pleasures. There is a religious belief that the fear of death is removed and premature death does not occur.
Shukra Pradosh Vrat 2022 –
As per Hindu calendar, Trayodashi Tithi in Krishna Paksha in Bhadrapada month starts on Friday, September 23 at 01.17 am and this tithi ends on the next day, September 24, Saturday at 2.30 am. Shukra Pradosh Vrat will be observed on September 23 as per Udayatithi and Pradosh Puja Muhurta.
Pradosh Puja Muhurta –
The auspicious time for Shukra Pradosh Puja on September 23 is from 06.17 to 08.39 pm. People who observe fast on this day, will get more than 02 hours for Shiv Puja. It is important to perform the Puja of Pradosh Vrat only on Pradosh Muhurta.
Sukra Pradosh Vrat in Siddha and Sadhya Yoga –
Shukra Pradosh Vrat is fulfilling your wishes and bringing success in your work, as Siddha and Sadhya Yogas are formed on this day. Siddha Yoga is held from morning till 9.56 am on this day. Since then, there is a sadhya yoga, which will last till 09:43 am the next morning. Both these yogas are auspicious.
Do this pooja-
On this day, after bathing, wear clean clothes and take water, Akshada and flowers in your hand and resolve the fast. After that one should worship Lord Shankara with Belpatra, Dhoop, Akshada, Gangajal etc. in Lord Shankara’s temple or house. Meanwhile, after offering Abhishekam by Panchamrit, belapatra, dhoti flower, kanher flower, incense, lamp, fruit, betel leaf etc. should be offered on the Shivling. Chant the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ during the puja. After that one should recite Shiva Chalisa by lighting a pure ghee lamp. Finally, Aarti of Lord Shankar should be performed.
