Malappuram: Malayali soldier dies in Ladakh. Nufail KT, son of late Muhammad Kunjan, a native of Kodavangad, died in Malappuram Kuni. He was 26 years old. The death occurred on Thursday at 5 pm.

In the area where Nufail was working, it was very cold. On Thursday morning, Nufail had sought treatment at a military hospital in Ladakh after experiencing difficulty in breathing. But at five o’clock in the evening, Nufail lost his life.

Nufail was working as a sepoy in the Army Postal Service for the past eight years. He came to Ladakh a year and a half ago after working in the states of Assam and Meghalaya. Nufail’s death happened when he completed another six months here and was about to move to another place.

Steps are being taken to bring the body home. The body will be kept for public viewing at Koduvangad Michabhoomi Maidan and at home. The grave will be buried according to military procedures.

Industrial exhibition fair begins

Malappuram Kottakunnu has started a product exhibition and marketing fair organized by the Department of Industry and Commerce to find market for the products of micro, small and medium enterprises. The program is jointly organized by the District Industry Centre, Eranad Taluk Industry Office and Perinthalmanna Taluk Industry Office. MLA P Ubaidullah inaugurated the fair.

Malappuram Municipality Chairman Mujeeb Kateri presided. District Industry Center Malappuram General Manager Ranjit Babu, District Industry Center Manager A Abdul Latif, KSSIA District President P Junaid, KSSIA IPP Hamza Haji, Coir Fed Director E. Impichikuttan also spoke.

A total of 143 units are participating in the fair, including various types of handicraft products, electronic devices, garments products, furniture products, various food products and machinery.
