Kayamkulam: Dramatic scenes unfolded during the cremation ceremony of Baiju Raju, a New Zealand expatriate who committed suicide at Kayamkulam Lodge. There were scenes that froze the human conscience. Baiju’s father Kochu Kunja demands that his daughter, who looked like gold, should be shown the dead body for the last time. The father says that the body will be cremated only after showing his daughter for the last time. The baby is now at Elantur wife’s house. He looked after the child like the apple of his eye. The father says that he became like this after taking his daughter inside.

Baiju Raju had earlier stated that his wife Annapriya Johnson, his wife’s mother Elsie Johnson, his wife’s brother Geevarghese Johnson and Swiss resident Tojo Johnson were responsible for his death. His wife’s affair with Tojo Mathew led Baiju to commit suicide. His wife’s mother had taken over his account and seized his assets.
