Thiruvananthapuram – The woman doctor who reported the death of the woman at the Medical College Hospital was kicked to death for alleged medical malpractice. On the doctor’s complaint, the medical college police filed a non-bailable case against the woman’s husband, Senthil Kumar, Kollam Kalekkala TB Junction Pudumana. Dr. Mary Francis (30), a senior resident in the neurosurgery department, was the victim of violence. The doctor complained that when he was informed about the death, the angry accused kicked him in the stomach. After seeking treatment, they lodged a complaint with the police.
The incident took place in front of the operating theater of the neuro department of the super specialty block at 1.20 am yesterday. Senthil’s wife Subha (46) had a brain tumor. He was admitted to the super specialty on the 6th of this month. The surgery was successful on the 21st but he died yesterday. Subha’s body was taken to Kollam yesterday morning. In addition to the charge of assaulting the doctor, the case was also charged with non-bailable sections such as violating the Hospital Protection Act, obstructing duty.
Meanwhile, Deputy Superintendent of Super Specialty Block, Dr. Sunil Kumar, said that the condition of the patient was bad when he was admitted to the hospital. He also had heart problems. After surgery, health condition improved. Sudden deterioration of health must be due to heart problem. Sunilkumar said.
Demonstration of doctors demanding arrest
