At some places in the district, it rained with strong winds, while at some places drizzle brought respite to the people from the heat. This sequence will continue for a few days. According to the Meteorological Department, it may remain cloudy on Friday as well and there may be drizzle with strong winds. The Meteorological Department had expressed the possibility of thunderstorm and hail on Thursday.

It was only cloudy in the urban areas but there was definitely relief from the heat. On the other hand, in the Karnaipur area of ​​Phulpur, the rain along with the storm brought relief from the heat. Thursday’s maximum temperature was 37.3 degrees Celsius, three notches lower than Wednesday’s. Whereas the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.2 degree Celsius.

Allahabad University Geography Department Prof. AR Siddiqui said that due to the eastern winds, the clouds have laid siege. Scattered rain or thundershowers are possible with strong winds on Friday. In May, the temperature is expected to remain below 40 degree Celsius, but this time in June, one may have to face severe heat.
