Bhadohi (UP), May 26 (PTI) A Bhadohi district court on Friday awarded life imprisonment to two accused in the murder of a youth, convicting them.
Additional District Government Advocate Vikas Narayan Singh said that after hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court of Additional Sessions Judge Shailoj Chandra convicted the accused Salim (40) and his friend Ashiq (45) for the brutal murder of Ikram (35) in the year 2015. Holding them guilty, both were sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs 33,000 each. He told that the court ordered to pay the entire amount of the fine as compensation to the wife of the deceased.
Ikram (35) was murdered on January 2, 2015 at Madho Singh Bazar under Aurai police station area of the district. In the context of the incident, Singh told that Salim had eyes on Ikram’s wife but his wife used to oppose it. Failing that, he killed Ikram with the help of his friend Aashiq to get him out of the way, he added.
In this case, the Aurai police filed the chargesheet after completing the investigation by registering an FIR and the court pronounced its verdict on Friday.
