In Haryana’s Kurukshetra, the police could not solve the mystery of the death of a minor who had gone to a friend’s birthday party even in a year. Dissatisfied with the action of the police, the family members met IG Ambala Shivas Kaviraj and pleaded for justice. Taking cognizance of this, the IG has directed the SP to constitute a SIT and investigate.

Kurukshetra police had registered a case of conspiracy to murder against unknown people, naming 8 on the complaint of the child’s mother Pinki. The mother alleges that she repeatedly pleaded with the police administration, but no satisfactory action was taken.

Suspicious death happened during the birthday party
17-year-old Harsh Kumar, a resident of Barara, Ambala, died under suspicious circumstances on June 10, 2022, during a birthday party at the Defense Hotel on Jhansa Road in Kurukshetra. The Krishna Gate police station had interrogated 12-14 people, including Harsh’s friends, in front of Harsh Kumar’s family members. During this, on not getting any satisfactory answer, a case was registered against the unknown including 8 friends of Harsh.

Harsh went to friend Anmol’s birthday party
Pinky Rani, a resident of Preet Nagar Barara, told that Ashu had called her son Harsh Kumar on June 10, 2022, to Anmol’s birthday party. On the same day at 8 o’clock in the night, Harsh called and said that he would not come home at night, but at 12 o’clock in the night, his elder sister Neelam called and told that Harsh Kumar has been brought to Kurukshetra Civil Hospital due to injury.

Harsh Kumar is being referred to PGI Chandigarh from here. She reached the Civil Hospital Kurukshetra in chaos, but by then the son had died. Blood was oozing from his nose and his clothes were torn.

The accused could not give satisfactory answers in the interrogation
On June 21, 2022, the Krishna Gate police station called the relatives and the accused to the police station. Here the police interrogated 14-15 accused including the hotel owner in front of Harsh Kumar’s family members. The accused said that Harsh Kumar had fallen from the third floor of the hotel.

The complainant stated that if his son had fallen from the third floor, there would have been multiple injuries on his body. Harsh’s clothes were found torn. Not only this, Harsh’s mobile has not been recovered yet. Krishna Gate police station has registered a case against the accused under section 302, 120B.
