
Patna, Jagran Correspondent. Railway police have arrested two smugglers of the interstate gang who smuggled girls and women on the pretext of Patna Junction platform number four. The police have freed the woman and her three-year-old child from the clutches of the smugglers.
Both the accused have been identified as Karulal Dhangar, a resident of Nadargarh and Rajendra Paridar, a resident of Nimay district, Madhya Pradesh. Both were taking the woman to Delhi. The Railway Police is conducting raids in search of two other accused Deepak and Rajesh.
Superintendent of Railway Police Amrtendu Shekhar Thakur said that information was received that a human trafficking gang is trying to take a woman out of Bihar. After this a team was formed.
The Railway Police was patrolling at Patna Junction, when a woman started raising hue and cry on seeing the Railway Police on the platform. Seeing the police, both the accused started running from there. However, they were caught at a distance.
The victim woman is a resident of Lakhisarai. She was married in Jamui, but later her husband left her. She started living in Lakhisarai with her child. She had come to Patna a few days back after being angry with something in her maternal home. Then he found two youths at Patna Junction, who told their names as Rajesh and Deepak.
The woman told that the youths entangled her in their talks and then took her to Rajgir on May 22 on the pretext of getting her married. Both told her that they would get her married to a person named Karulal. Took her to a hotel in Rajgir and got married there. Rajendra was also with him.
The victim told that after marriage, both of them came to Patna on May 24 and were about to go to Delhi from there, but before that the woman had realized that she had fallen into the trap of a gang.
Rajendra had contacted both to buy the woman
Karulal is already married, but his wife does not live with him. Karulal and Rajendra are relatives. Both had approached Deepak and Rajesh and they had entered into a deal to sell the woman on the pretext of getting her married.
Both made a deal with the woman for a total of 2.27 lakhs. 45 thousand was given to Rajesh, 1.82 lakh to Rajendra and 40 thousand to Deepak even before marriage.
