Kozhikode: More information is out in the case of killing a hotel owner, dismembering him and dumping his body in Kokka in Attapadi. The latest information is that the murdered hotel owner Siddique was the first to take a room in the lodge where the murder took place. This was discovered after examining the CCTV footage in and around the lodge. The investigation also revealed that Siddique, who reached the lodge on May 18, was never seen outside.
Siddique was the first to arrive at the lodge on May 18 and take a room. It was only after this that accused Shibil and Farhana reached the lodge. The investigation also found that Shibil and Farhana had left the room before leaving the lodge on 19th. But it is reported that Siddique, who reached the lodge room on the 18th, was never seen outside.
Mecheri Siddiqui (58), a native of Tirur, a hotel owner in Mankav, Kozhikode, was killed by the accused in her lodge room at Eranjipalam. After this, the body was cut into pieces and put in trolley bags and left at Kokka from the ninth turn of the Attappadi Pass.
The shocking murder came to light during an investigation conducted by the Tirur police on the family’s complaint that Siddique was missing. About two lakh rupees were withdrawn from the bank account of Siddique, who has been missing since May 18, on that day and the following days. The doubt arose when the son received a message in this regard. Moreover, the fact that Siddique’s phone was switched off also raised suspicions. With this, it was confirmed that Siddique was missing and the family filed a complaint with the police.
It was found that Shibil, who was an employee of Siddiq’s hotel, and his friend, Farhana, were involved in Siddique’s disappearance during the investigation based on mobile phone location information, CCTV footage and witness statements. A blood stain was also found in the hotel room. After realizing that both of them had entered Chennai, the information was informed to Chennai Police and RPF. Chennai Egmore Railway Station RPF Shibil and Farhana were arrested during the investigation.
After killing Siddique in the lodge room, the accused chopped the body and left it in trolley bags. According to the police, the murder took place between May 18 and 19. On May 19, the accused left the lodge with trolley bags in Siddique’s car. It is concluded that after reaching Attappadi and putting the trolley bags in Koka, they crossed to Chennai by train from Shornur. Siddique’s car was also found abandoned in a small area.
Shibil, Farhana and Farhana’s friend Chiku alias Ashiq are currently arrested in the Siddique murder case. The police say that only when Shibil and Farhana, the main accused, are brought from Chennai to Tirur and interrogated in detail, more details related to the murder will be clarified.
