Jintur: The body of Talatha, who went to take action on the sand blast, was finally recovered by the submarine team of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after 30 hours of tireless work on May 26 around 3:30 pm. However, this incident has created a sensation in the revenue department.
Talathi Subhash Hol and Dhananjay Sonwane of Jintur tehsil office arrived on 25th May in the morning to take action on sand blast in the taluk. While arriving to take action on the sand blast, it was pointed out that sand mining is going on in the Purna river basin within the limits of Sengaon taluka. Then Subhash Hol showed courage while going to the other side of the river to take action on the sand blast, when he drowned in the Purna river after half its capacity. Although it is not clear what exactly caused him to drown in the water, preliminary guesses are that he may have suffocated while swimming.
After this incident, the administration started searching for his dead body. But this body was not found. On May 26 around 3:30 PM, the submarine team from Sambhajinagar succeeded in recovering the body of Subhash Hol. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. The source informed that the body will be handed over to the family after the autopsy.
The Sub-Divisional Officer campedRevenue Officer Aruna Sangewar, Jintur In-charge Tehsildar Paresh Chaudhary, Selu Deputy Tehsildar Prashant Tharkar, Circle Officer Prashant Rakhe, Police Sub-Inspector Vishwas Khole and all the revenue department staff were camped at the spot for two days.
