Disha, Badungpet: The Pahad Sharif Police have made progress in the case of the body of a 30-year-old unidentified man found in a drum in the Suram Pond, which created a sensation. The body of the unidentified man was identified as Puran Singh of Patelnagar by the Pahad Sharif police. Police suspect Puransingh’s murder as there were severe injuries on the deceased’s head. According to details given by Inspector Vishwanath of Pahadishariff, the body of an unknown 30-year-old man was found floating in a drum with his legs up in the Suram pond of Tukkuguda at 4 o’clock on Thursday. Pahadi Sharif police who reached the scene immediately recovered the dead body in the drum in the Suram pond. As the dead body was already found in a decomposed state, the police registered a case that it was the body of an unknown person who might have died three days ago. The body was shifted to Osmania Mortuary for postmortem. After that, are there any missing persons of 30 to 40 years in the area of the nearest police station for the last four days? As a case of missing person was registered on the 23rd of this month in Chandrayanagutta police station, the police started an investigation based on the file photo. When the missing man’s wife inquired, she identified him as her husband with the help of the clothes on his body. Puran Singh (30) and his wife Mamata Devi are a couple from Bandlaguda Patel Nagar. On the evening of 23rd of this month, Mamata Devi’s wife lodged a complaint with the Chandrayanagutta police that Puran Singh Gupchup used to drive a cart and support the family.
It is suspected that he was killed somewhere and dumped in the Suram pond.
The police have already expressed suspicion that Puran Singh died four days ago as his body was completely decomposed.
