Sangod (Kota).The case of death of Jain saint Arhant Sagar Maharaj in a road accident has come to light in Bapawar area of the district. They had left for Datia from Chandkhedi and on the Jhalawar Baran Mega Highway near Bapawar, the car crashed and overturned in the field due to tire burst. Due to which the Jain saint died on the spot. While the driver and an elderly woman in the car have been injured.

ASI Purushottam Meena of Bapawar police station told that the accident happened around 3:30 pm. Suddenly there was a loud bang. After which people went towards the Mega Highway, where a car was found lying overturned in the field. At the same time, it has been revealed in the preliminary investigation that this accident happened due to bursting of the car’s tyre. In which 68-year-old Jain saint Arhant Sagar Maharaj died. At the same time, 27-year-old Bhuralal Yadav and 60-year-old Usha Jain, the driver of the car, were injured.

ASI Meena told that Digambar Jain saint Arhant Sagar Maharaj, who died in the accident, was originally from Indore. His name was Ramesh Chand Jain, later he left the household life and took initiation to become a saint. After which he used to reside in Sonagir Jain temple in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh. He became a disciple of Sumit Sagar Maharaj. Also he was named Arhant Sagar.
