The defending champions have set a mammoth target of 234 runs in front of Mumbai. However, nothing is going right in this match for Mumbai. The team’s own fast bowler Chris Jordan has injured wicketkeeper Ishaan Kishan on the middle ground, due to which Ishaan will not be able to bat.
Jordan hurt Ishaan
Actually, Ishaan Kishan and Chris Jordan were returning to their fielding positions. Meanwhile, Jordan and Ishaan had a fierce fight and the Mumbai fast bowler’s elbow hit Ishaan’s eyes. Ishaan was seen in a lot of pain after this and he could not do further wicketkeeping in the match. In place of Ishaan, Vishu Vinod played the role of wicketkeeper in the remaining match.
Ishaan will not even come down to bat
Ishaan Kishan will not even come out to bat in the match being played against Gujarat Titans due to his injury. In place of Ishaan, Nehal Wadhera came on the field to open the innings for Mumbai Indians along with captain Rohit Sharma. Vishnu Vinod has been included in Mumbai’s playing XI as a concussion substitute in place of Ishaan who is suffering from an eye injury. Vinod will come out to bat in place of Ishaan.
