Kanpur: A major road accident took place in Ghatampur police station area on Friday. Here a soldier died tragically after being hit by a speeding truck. On information, the police took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Along with this, the investigation of the case got started. The truck driver fled from the spot.

According to information, a speeding truck hit a PRV 112 vehicle near Kushmanda Devi temple under Ghatampur police station area. The collision was so strong that constable Gangasharan Gautam, who was on duty in the PRV, died on the spot. After the accident, the driver parked the truck and fled. The police reached on the information of the local people, took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Along with this, the investigation of the case got started. Police said that constable Gangasharan Gautam was a resident of Udesar village under Eka police station area of ​​Firozabad. On hearing about the accident, his family members were in bad condition by crying.

Ghatampur SHO Ashok Kumar Dubey told that a constable Gangasharan died in a road accident. The police have informed their relatives about the accident. Police reached after the accident and took the truck in their possession. Along with this, the truck is looking for the driver. Necessary legal action will be taken after investigation.
