Popular cartoonist Satyamurthy passes away-Namasthe Telangana

Bhavaraj Venkata Satyamurthy (84), popularly known as Satyamurthy in the caricature world, passed away at his home in Hyderabad on Thursday night. Satyamurthy, son of Satyanarayana Rao, who received special honors as Rao Saheb. He has earned a special reputation in the field of cartoon and commercial art. He founded Sathya Sai Designing Studios and used to make dolls based on the moral stories told by Bhagavan Sathya Sai Baba.

Telugu University, May 26 (Namaste Telangana): Bhavaraju Venkata Satyamurthy (84), popularly known as Satyamurthy in the caricature world, passed away at his home in Hyderabad on Thursday night. Satyamurthy, son of Satyanarayana Rao, who received special honors as Rao Saheb. He has earned a special reputation in the field of cartoon and commercial art. He founded Sathya Sai Designing Studios and used to make dolls based on the moral stories told by Bhagavan Sathya Sai Baba. His figures appeared in many story books in Telugu and English language. There was a lot of publicity for his designs in the pharma sector and its related packaging sectors. A new approach was introduced by creating cartoon calendars for large institutions like State Bank.

Popular magazines published his cartoons. Also served in the publicity design department in the film industry. Sudigundalu produced by Akkineni Nageswara Rao was directed by Sathyamurthy. Served as Council Member of State Government Fine Arts Academy for five years. The cartoon character he created under the name Edullrao is immortal in satirical cinema. Satyamurthy was born on January 1, 1939 in Ramachandrapuram. He is survived by his wife Jogeshwari and daughter Acharya Padmavathi. Son Sai Bhaskar passed away recently. Popular cartoonists have stated that Satyamurthy’s death is inevitable. Sathyamurthy is the brother of renowned personality development expert Dr. BV Pattabhiram.
