Team Jagran, Dehradun: Weather Update Today: The weather pattern has changed in Uttarakhand since last three days. In most of the areas, along with the rain and hailstorm, the problems have increased due to the storm.
However, the sky remained clear and sunny in most areas on Friday. But, there is no hope of getting relief from the hailstorm. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be hail and showers with thunder and lightning at some places on Saturday as well. A yellow alert has been issued regarding the thunderstorm in the low-lying areas.
The weather has changed since the last few days from the mountains to the plains.
From the mountains to the plains in the state, the weather has changed for the last few days. Light snowfall on the nearby peaks including Chardham and rain in the lower areas have brought respite from the scorching heat. In most areas, the mercury is three to four degrees Celsius below normal. Apart from this, hailstorm and darkness remained a cause of trouble at some places.
The weather remained dry in Doon and surrounding areas on Friday.
For the last three days, there have been several rounds of thunderstorms in Doon. In which there was a huge loss of public and private property. On Friday, the weather remained generally dry in the surrounding areas including Doon. It was sunny during the day, but partly cloudy in the evening.
Light rain-snowfall in hilly areas today
According to Bikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of change in the weather in the state for the next few days. There may be light rain and snowfall in the mountainous areas on Saturday. Thunderstorm-hail warning has been issued in the low-lying areas. There are chances of partly cloudy sky in Doon.
