In this, monsoon is likely to arrive in Kerala today and the meteorological department has predicted that it will enter Maharashtra on June 10.
At present, the Southwest Monsoon winds which have reached the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are moving back and forth. These winds have also reached parts of the South Arabian Sea. Also Sri Lanka, Maldives and Comorin are covered by this wind. Due to this, it is predicted that monsoon will reach Kerala today. But Maharashtra is still waiting for monsoon.
When will monsoon enter Maharashtra? – According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is now advancing rapidly. Due to this, the climate is constantly changing. As a result, sometimes rain and sometimes sun are seen. Importantly, the Meteorological Department has also predicted the possibility of monsoon entering Maharashtra on June 10.
Pre-monsoon rains begin in some parts of Maharashtra –Although monsoon is still awaited, some parts of the state have witnessed pre-monsoon rains. Pre-monsoon rains have occurred in Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Ahmednagar, Sindhudurg, Solapur, etc. Apart from this, pre-monsoon rains accompanied by thunderbolts and gales have also arrived in Marathwada and Vidarbha.
