
CHENNAI: A fire broke out in a marriage house in T. Nagar, Chennai, early this morning. As a result, the relatives ran out of the house screaming. Due to this fire accident in the house of the industrialist, several crores of rupees worth of goods have been damaged.
Pramod Sarda (age 48) lives in D. Nagar Yogampal Street, Chennai. He is a businessman and sells furniture products. His nephew’s daughter’s wedding was held in a grand manner the day before yesterday. More than 30 relatives of Pramod came from other places to participate in this wedding ceremony.
The matrimonial house was weeded all day. The wedding was held in a very grand manner as it was a business tycoon’s home wedding. Treats were also served to relatives who had come. Relatives who had come for the wedding were staying on the first floor of Pramod’s house.
In this situation, it is said that there was a power leak in the AC on the first floor around 2.30 am today. Then it caught fire. The fire spread throughout the first floor. Shocked relatives ran out of the house screaming. The entire first floor of the house was gutted.
The married family immediately informed the fire department. Subsequently, the fire department from Ashok Nagar, The Nagar and Thenampet areas rushed to fight and brought the fire under control. When the fire broke out, the relatives who were sleeping in the house left the house in time and a major accident was avoided.
It is said that goods worth crores of rupees on the first floor of the house were burnt and destroyed. Scenes of relatives running away from the house after the house caught fire are spreading on social media. The police have registered a case and are investigating the fire.
