
Ghaziabad, Jagran Correspondent. Ajay Mishra, a 2003 batch IPS officer, will be the first police commissioner of Ghaziabad. Orders were issued late night from the police headquarters. After the announcement of making Ghaziabad, Agra and Prayagraj commissionerate, many speculations were being made in the name of the commissioner, the headquarters put an end to these speculations on Monday late night.
Father is retired from UP Police
Ajay Mishra, a 2003 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Police Commissioner of Ghaziabad. Ajay Mishra has also been SSP Kanpur, SSP Banaras, SP ATS, SP Sultanpur, SP Baghpat in the past. He is counted among the flamboyant officers of the state. He comes from a police family only. His father is also retired from UP Police.
As the first commissioner in Ghaziabad, it will be a challenge for him to curb crime. Apart from incidents like robbery, dacoity, they will also have to take effective steps to stop cybercrime. While talking to Dainik Jagran, he told that on Tuesday he will take charge after a courtesy meeting with the DGP.
It will be the responsibility of running the commissionerate with limited means
Along with making Ghaziabad a commissionerate, the government has announced the commissionerate, but the responsibility of running the commissionerate with limited resources will be on him. The entire state will be watching how he gets the officers to work.
