Dubai – Dubai Municipality has expanded the service of free removal of useless large objects from homes in Dubai. The service was launched in the wake of the recent heavy rains in the UAE that flooded many homes and destroyed household appliances. The reason for the wide spread of the service is that many people have had to remove household appliances from their homes due to flood damage. This service is part of continuous efforts to improve the quality of life of the public and maintain cleanliness in the Emirate of Dubai. The service is available in almost all areas of Dubai. Free removal services are available everywhere, except for a few areas such as The Palm and Discovery Gardens. This service can be availed by visiting Dubai Municipality’s website or by calling them.

All unusable items such as household appliances, electrical or electronic waste will be taken away. For this, a request can be made to the Waste Management Department through the WhatsApp channel of Dubai Municipality.

Old furniture (such as sofas, mattresses, and tables), large appliances (such as refrigerators, washing machines, and water heaters), and electronic waste (such as televisions and computers) are considered bulk waste. Proper disposal of bulk waste helps prevent environmental pollution and promotes responsible waste management practices in communities.

Apply for the service through WhatsApp 800900 (+971800900). You will receive a phone call from a Dubai Municipality employee to schedule an appointment for bulk waste collection within three days from the date of receipt of application. Once the bulk garbage collection is complete, you will also receive an SMS message. Dubai Municipality said more information is available on its website.
