Sri Lanka’s friendship with Iran should continue! United People’s Power

The Office of the Leader of the Opposition has stated that he wants Iran’s President Khalanidi Ibrahim Raisi and the country’s people to continue to have friendly relations with Sri Lanka.

The Office of the Leader of the Opposition has issued this announcement amid reports that the Leader of the Opposition did not participate in the dinner held for the President of Iran.

Another reason why the leader of the opposition came to the decision to ignore it is due to the fact that it was revealed that these journalists were ready to create and spread a slander saying that “Ranil-Sajith is ready for a political deal” if the leader of the opposition attended the dinner party.

As a United People’s Power, the media wing of the Opposition Leader’s Office said that they always welcome the friendly relations that the President of Iran and the people of that country will continue with Sri Lanka.

The Office of the Leader of the Opposition has also informed the Iranian Embassy that the Leader of the Opposition is willing to meet Ibrahim Raisi during his visit to Sri Lanka.

In that case, it is baseless to try to convey that the Iranian president did not attend the dinner as a protest to the Iranian president through the media activities carried out by him.

The media wing of the Office of the Leader of the Opposition has stated that it strongly condemns the political efforts of the pro-government media for spreading false information on the matter.
